We scheduled a sunset tour for 2 and it was the PERFECT tour! Julie our tour guide was extremely friendly and tremendously knowledgeable. She was patient, kind and extremely helpful! On our tour she explained the biodiversity of Galveston from the oyster drill and moon snails, to oyster clusters, crabs and to the numerous birds in the Galveston wetlands. The tour took us down pristine wetlands, through a beautiful S curve, and put us at the forefront of the most uninterrupted nature we have seen on the island. We saw amazing Spoon Bills up close, 4 types of Egrets, Great Blue Heron, majestic Great Egrets and mullets jumping in front of a beautiful sun dipping below the surface of the bay water. We would recommend this tour 100 times over and can’t wait to visit again.

Julie was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect start to our honeymoon. She made the whole trip enjoyable and fun. I would highly recommend it. My husband and I will definitely be back!!!

My daughters and I had a beautiful day to kayak in Galveston. Julie is awesome tour guide. She is knowledgeable of the ecosystem and various wildlife/ marine life in the area. We were not rushed and allowed to have a relaxed pace enjoying our time on the water. Her husband ( sorry I forget his name) even opened oysters to let my youngest feed the oyster to her stone crab she found.

We had such a great time! Our guide was friendly and informative. Wish we had our fishing licenses and a pole that would have been a blast! The sunset was beautiful, equipment was good quality and well maintained!

What a great tour! We had a great time they were very informative and very helpful. They were very patient with the kids ruff housing. They even showed us how to shuck oysters and how to collect them.

Mike and Julie were such a delight. They were knowledgeable and despite our slight apprehension about kayaking in the sea ... they made us feel at ease right away and before long we were relaxed and really enjoying ourselves. I highly recommend them and we will probably be back for a moonlight or Xmas lights tour!!

Our vacation experience to the city of Galveston was phenomenal! We booked a kayak trip with Beachtown Tours and our guide, Julie was amazing. The two hour kayak trip was not only relaxing and enjoyable, but our guide gave us some valuable information about the wildlife, the oyster beds, Galveston Bay, took photos and gave a little history about the city of Galveston. We’re still overjoyed.

We had a great time! Our guide was knowledgeable and able to direct our time to suit our interests and abilities. It did take multiple reservations because of weather cancellations. The company was pleasant to work with and I am glad we persevered.

They obviously enjoy what they do and are very knowledgeable. Our family of 4, youngest is 9, did the sunset tour and loved it! We did get rescheduled due to "wind" but had plenty of notice and made it out the next day. We stopped once along the way to look at birds and hermit crabs. It was the perfect end to our week long family vacation!

We had a really great time with Julie, she and her husband were very punctual and had great knowledge of the area and it’s history. They gave us great tour options as well.
