What is your refund policy?
If we have to cancel due to weather conditions, we will call or text, and/or email at least 3 hours prior to your launch time. You may then reschedule at your convenience or receive a refund. If you need to cancel your appointment, we require you to call or text at least one hour before your designated time to receive a refund.
What are your weight limits?
Single Person Kayaks: 275 lbs.
Tandem Kayaks: 425 lbs.
What about the wind?
We probably have to cancel and reschedule more tours due to wind as opposed to rain. Our typical threshold of safety cutoff point is 12 - 15mph depending on wind direction. We always try to give at least a 3 hour notice by text, phone call and/or email to save a wasted trip.
We use the following sites for making the final go/no go call. Take a look on the morning of your tour to see what might be in store. Higher winds mean wetter, rougher rides.
What are your age requirements?
Daytime Tours
1) At least 5 yrs old and must ride in
a tandem with an adult.
2) At least 16 yrs. old to ride alone
in a single.
Nighttime Tours
1) Minimum age is 16 yrs old and
must ride in a tandem with an
adult
2) Must be 18 yrs. old to ride alone
in a single.
How many can go out at a time?
Our tours accommodate up to ten people.
How long are your tours?
All tours last approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on the wind/current and the paddler's ability.
